About Westside

Robin Jampol, President and Founder of Westside German Shepherd Rescue
Robin Jampol, President and Founder of Westside German Shepherd Rescue

Westside German Shepherd Rescue was started in 2002. Since then, we have successfully saved and found loving homes for over 16,000 dogs. We are a committed group of incredible people who always love post-adoption updates and pictures to see how you and your adopted dog are doing.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 charity and we receive no government funding. Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration and up-to-date vaccinations, but the fees only cover a small portion of the average cost of each dog. We rely on donations to maintain our facility and pay for food and medical expenses. Without donations, none of the wonderful dogs on this website would be here. Anything you donate to us goes towards the care and the support of more rescued dogs.

We are in a continuous struggle to be able to save dogs in high-kill shelters who need us. When you adopt one dog, another gets saved from waiting lists of dogs to be euthanized in animal shelters all over. We do take some owner-surrendered dogs who are steps away from being left behind.

We love welcoming potential new adopters! Please APPLY NOW and come meet our amazing dogs!

Thanks so much,

Robin

New Westside Families

Every rescue dog is a second chance wrapped in fur and love.
Adopted dogs don’t just change your life—they make it whole.
The best part of adopting a dog is realizing they saved you, too.
Rescue dogs are love with a wagging tail and soulful eyes.
Adopting a dog means gaining a loyal best friend for life.
You don’t just adopt a dog—you welcome joy into your home.
Every adopted dog carries a story—and writes a new one with you.
Rescued dogs may come with scars, but they heal hearts in return.
When you adopt, you give a dog a home—and yourself a forever smile.
Love isn’t bought—it’s adopted.
Adopted dogs know gratitude better than most, and show it daily.
Saving one dog won’t change the world, but for that dog, the world changes forever.
A rescue dog’s love is unconditional and unrepeatable.
Adopting a dog is opening your heart to pure, unfiltered love.
Adopted dogs bring out the very best in us.
When you adopt, you become someone’s hero.
A dog’s past doesn’t define them—your love does.
Rescued dogs don’t judge—they just love.
Home isn’t a place—it’s where your adopted dog is waiting.
Adopted dogs are proof that the best things in life come unexpectedly.
Rescue dogs may not have had the best start, but they’re ready for the best rest.
There’s no greater reward than the trust of an adopted dog.
When you rescue a dog, you rescue yourself a little, too.
Adopt a dog, and watch your heart grow three sizes.
Rescued dogs remind us that love is always worth the wait.
